Situated near Chantilly, Royaumont Abbey stands out for its exceptional monastic setting, offering an ideal environment for reflection and creativity for corporate seminars. Built in 1228 by Saint Louis, this historic site has managed to preserve its spiritual essence whilst embracing the events industry, welcoming companies keen to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life to foster the emergence of new ideas.

Royaumont is distinguished by its 53 rooms, characterised by monastic austerity and devoid of televisions and superfluous luxuries, making it an ideal venue for reflective seminars and executive committee meetings. CAC 40 companies, as well as academic institutions such as Inserm, the CNRS and the EHSS, regularly choose this haven of tranquillity to organise meetings on life sciences or cultural and spiritual themes.

The abbey offers a variety of historic spaces to host a range of events. The cloister can accommodate up to 600 guests for cocktail receptions, whilst the monks’ refectory hosts dinners and conferences for 400 people. The ‘Salle des Charpentes’, formerly used as latrines, is now a multi-purpose space for cocktail receptions or conferences for 250 people. These interconnected spaces allow for a smooth flow between the different activities of a seminar, enhancing the immersive experience for participants.

In addition to its events programme, Royaumont is committed to cultural activities, organising between 260 and 300 professional events each year, whilst also welcoming school groups and young audiences. This diversity of activities reflects the abbey’s commitment to making culture accessible to as many people as possible, whilst preserving its historical and spiritual heritage.
